About the Event

Ceramic Christmas pudding Decorating

Join Emily for our special workshops and decorate your very own set of 4 quirky Christmas puddings.

Emily will handmake each Christmas pudding and fire them to bisque ware for you - you will then spend some lovely time using our oxides, underglaze paints and special glazes to decorate your own set of Christmas pudding decorations. As each decoration is handmade everyone will be totally different. Each will have holly on and a special texture for the cake and a plain icing. Each one is waiting for you to decorate and make as bold and bright or has christmas pudding looking as you like.

You will have one large Pudding aprox 7inchs round and 3 smaller pumpkins around 3.4inchs round once glaze fired. The large pudding would be perfect for your front door.

Once you have decorated your angel Emily will glaze and fire your work for you. Your puddings will be ready to collect within a week of the workshop - plenty of time to deciorate your tree and front door :)

Covid 19 bits and bobs:  Please note that these bits and bobs are subject to change depending on government guidelines.

We have cut our workshop classes in half to provide plenty of lovely space for social distancing. We ask that all participants wear a face mask, even children must wear a face covering in our workshop - our studio is small and we want to protect everyone. Each participant will have their own set of tools, brushes, your own towel (for hand washing) hand sanitiser and moisturiser, we've got to look after those hands :). After every class we have a strict cleaning regime. All fabric items used are washed and every tool/brush used are left in disinfectant for 24 hours and then washed. We clean and wash all surfaces and well... everything :) Due to the current situation we are unable to offer usual array of yummy goodies for you to munch on whilst we create. you are more than welcome to bring your own drink but we ask that you just nip outside of the studio to remove your mask. We do have shared toilet facilities just outside of our studio. Emily cleans these just before and after the workshop, please do bare in mind these are shared with 2 other small units on our site, there are cleaning facilities left in the bathroom if you wanted to use these. Any questions please do ask.
